Join us for a meaningful journey to Kazakhstan, beginning with a Dubai stopover and continuing to Almaty for a memorable Shabbat experience in honor of Chof Av.
Chof Av marks the yartzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, the Rebbe’s father, whose resting place is in Almaty. The journey will include meaningful time at the Ohel, along with Shabbat, learning, farbrengens, and moments of connection.
Alongside the spiritual highlights, participants will experience the beauty, culture, and natural surroundings of Almaty. This journey is designed as an opportunity to connect, recharge, and share a rare blend of Jewish inspiration, travel, and camaraderie.
Dubai Stopover
A 12-hour stopover in a global hub, including time with the Dubai Jewish community and kosher restaurant stops.
Almaty
Kazakhstan’s largest city, with a beautiful mountain backdrop, rich culture, museums, nearby nature, and a warm Jewish community.
Spiritual Experience
Shabbat and Sunday night will offer the heart of the journey: davening, meals, farbrengens, and the Chof Av visit.

Continue to Kazakhstan: Thursday night, traveling on to Almaty.

Explore Almaty’s museums, nature, and local culture on Friday and Sunday, while experiencing a unique and spiritual Shabbat and culminating Sunday night with a visit to the Ohel and farbrengen in honor of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak’s yartzeit.
Sample Travel Itinerary
Depart New York on Wednesday, July 29, with a 12-hour Dubai stopover on Thursday and arrives in Almaty early Friday morning.
Return departing Almaty early Monday, August 3, with connections through Dubai and Europe arriving back in NY on Monday evening.
Participants are welcome to arrive before the group and depart afterward to extend their travels and explore other cities, sites and experiences.

Thursday, July 30
Dubai stopover, including time with the Jewish community and kosher dining, followed by departure to Almaty.
Friday, July 31
Arrive in Almaty and experience the city through museums, local culture, nearby nature, and preparation for Shabbat.
Shabbat, August 1
A meaningful Shabbat in Almaty, including services, Shabbat meals, classes, and farbrengens.
Sunday, August 2
Almaty touring, with opportunities to visit museums, experience the city, and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
Sunday Night, August 2
Powerful visit and farbrengen at the resting place of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, father of the Rebbe, on his yartzeit, Chof Av.
